    QUESTIONS WE ASK
    1. In a culture absorbed with receiving, how do we help our kids understand the joy of giving?
    2. How can the concept of “joy in giving” be best communicated and put into action for our middle and high schoolers and how will that affect their first few years of independence as they head off to college and into adulthood?
    3. So, in the busyness of the season, how do we, as spiritual leaders in our homes, keep Christ at the center of Christmas?
    4. How do we model this for our kids and keep the true meaning of Christmas the focus?
    5. What are the Family Ministry Team’s hopes and prayers for parents this Christmas season?
    HIGHLIGHTS
      • Joy in Giving: streamline the gifts you give. Suggestion: Give something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read, and something to share.
      • Always connect gift giving to Jesus being the greatest gift every given. This conversation doesn’t just happen around Christmas or when they are older, but it’s daily conversations in all ages and stages over time.
      • Model giving for your kids. The ultimate gift you could give is the Gospel and sharing that in your life with those around you.
      • Intentionality in making sure we keep Christ the center of the season: talk about it, show generosity, and have FUN!
      • Practical Ways to be Intentional: Angel Tree, Operation Christmas Child, Star from Afar, Nativity set play, make care packages/cookies for others, hide baby Jesus and then make it a special point to find and talk about him, Christmas books, movies that point back to Jesus, in ALL you do…model and talk about JESUS!
