We're so thankful that Maggie has taken this next step in her faith journey. Read her story here.
"I first started thinking about becoming a follower of Christ when I was at a Wednesday night youth group. We were talking about how Jesus will be with us no matter what, even when it feels like all hope is lost and He has abandoned us. That made me start to think about if He is really always with us and if baptism changes that. Once we went to small groups, my leaders told me that if we had any questions to talk to them. So, I did. I asked what baptism really means and if that effects our relationship with Jesus. We talked for a while, and then I got in the car with my mom to go home. While we were in there, I had officially decided that I wanted to become a follower of Jesus. I told her, and she was very happy and even cried a bit. Then, she said that she and my dad had been waiting for this moment for a very long time. After we got home I told my dad, and he was also extremely happy. He told me that baptism is just an outward symbol of an inwards change. Then, he also asked me what I thought being a follower of Jesus really meant. And I told him this: 'Being a follower of Christ really means to me that He will be with us, no matter what. As long as we believe in Him, He will be with us."
Praise God for how He's worked in Maggie's life!
