TOPIC: Testimonies, Video

With a nearby war, an influx of refugees, and staggering inflation, the country of Moldova is under immense stress. In this difficult and uncertain time, Justice & Mercy International is working to help address needs and minister to Moldovan families and refugees. In this video, two JMI staff members in Moldova, Shizara and Jennifer Sevier, chat with Jeff Simmons about their team’s efforts to be the hands and feet of Jesus. In addition to his role as Lead Pastor of Rolling Hills, Jeff also serves as President of JMI’s Board of Directors.

Shizara describes the challenging circumstances in the backdrop of JMI’s recent work in Moldova, and shares how the staff have rallied together to provide for ever-increasing numbers of refugees. Then, Jennifer gives an update on how the children in their transitional-living homes are doing as war rages just a country away, and shares why she thinks JMI’s role might be even more important in the coming months. Finally, Jennifer tells the story of how she felt and obeyed the call she felt to permanently move to Moldova in service of underprivileged children.

Service and giving are Jesus’ call to everyone. Not all of us are called to move abroad, but maybe God will spur you to contribute financially to missionary efforts. And, of course, there are people in need wherever you might be. We hope this video will encourage you to pray that God will reveal how He wants to use you to make an impact for His Kingdom. Let’s all pray that God will continue to bless our JMI team and provide for the people in Moldova.
