The Kinzounza's Story

Afraid. Tired. Alone. Uncertain. These were all feelings that Raymond and Gigi Kinzounza felt as they were refugees during the Civil War in Congo. They prayed and prayed and prayed – asking God to bring them to a place of safety and security.

And God provided them with a way out.

Eventually, the Kinzounzas ended up in the city of Nashville, TN, and one of their priorities was finding a church to call home. Again, they prayed, faithfully and obediently, for guidance and direction and a church family – and, while walking down the street, they saw Park Avenue Baptist Church, the church that would later merge with Rolling Hills to become our Rolling Hills Nashville Campus. This church was where God was calling them to be. After years of being invested and serving there, and now at Rolling Hills, they have seen God move and work in their lives and in the life of our church in miraculous ways.

We are thankful to be a part of the Kinzounza's story – and we, too, like Raymond and Gigi, are in awe of what our good God can do.
