FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Below are answers to some commonly asked questions about our reopening.

Will I be required to wear a mask?

No, you will not be required to wear a mask while attending church. However, we will have masks available for churchgoers and will encourage those attending to wear them. Our volunteers and staff members will be required to wear them while serving.

What measures has RHCC taken to keep the facilities clean and safe for people?

Our facilities team has worked extremely hard over the past few weeks and months doing extra cleanings of our entire building, especially when it comes to the high-traffic areas such as the entrances and exits. These high-trafficked areas, the restrooms, and the auditorium is going to be cleaned between each of the services as well. Along with that, our staff members and volunteers will undergo a health screening and temperature check prior to serving, and they will also be required to wear a mask while serving.

How do I pre-register for services?

Pre-registering is very easy! Simply visit our website the Monday prior to the Sunday worship gathering and sign up there. After you pre-register, you will receive a confirmation email with a QR code that you will bring either on your phone or as a printed copy to check-in upon arrival.

When will services go back to normal?

In following the phased plan based on the most recent information that we have from state and national authorities, we are planning to return to full capacity, regular format worship services at all of our campuses on August 9. We will still continue offering online worship services as well.

How will churchgoers follow social distancing guidelines?

We are operating at a reduced attendance capacity in order to practice social distancing. Through having members pre-register for worship services, we will be able to monitor how many people are attending each service. Seats will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, so once a service is full, it will be closed, and you will have to pick a different service time or join us online. Likewise, we will have designated doors for entrances and exits, creating a one-way flow of traffic to help the check-in process move quickly and to streamline people in and out of the building seamlessly.

What are some ways that I can serve the church during this time?

If you are willing and feel comfortable to serve at RHCC during this time, we would love to find a place for you! Many of our volunteer teams are still going to be needed during the phased plan of reopening the church building, but they may look somewhat different than our normal serving schedules or locations. If you’re interested in serving please let us know by selecting the campus you would like to serve at.

When will community groups begin meeting again?

In Phase 2 (June 8-June 30), we will begin to have community groups meet again at their own discretion and following social distancing guidelines and regulations. We recommend communicating with your community group leader, as some groups may feel more comfortable meeting while others may not. Our encouragement is that groups meet outside when possible and no food or drinks are served.
