Revive Merger

BETTER TOGETHER

God has recently brought Revive Church and Rolling Hills Community Church to an exciting new place. After several months of conversation, prayer, and deep consideration of the mission, vision, and direction of both churches, both churches made the decision to merge and be better together as one church.

This merger is going to bring people from both churches together who love Jesus and are passionate about making an impact for the Kingdom of God.

FAQs

HOW ARE WE BETTER TOGETHER?

An African proverb says, “When you run alone, you run fast. But when you run together, you run far.” We believe that is true of churches as well. We believe that together we will be more effective at reaching and discipling people in the Nolensville community. We believe that this merger will be a win for Revive, Rolling Hills, and, most importantly, a win for God’s Kingdom. “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 15:5-6)

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THIS MERGER?

These two churches will come together to form the Nolensville Campus of Rolling Hills Community Church. Jason Hale will serve as the Campus Pastor of the Rolling Hills Community Church Nolensville campus and this new permanent home for the church will begin a new era of ministry for both churches.

The vision of Rolling Hills Community Church is, “A people of God Reaching Out, Growing Up & Giving All.” Our desire is to reach out to our friends and neighbors in the community and create a welcoming and safe environment for families to connect, and to be a church that makes a positive difference in the community. Through community groups and classes, our hope is for people to better understand God’s plan for their life and to grow in relationships with others. We seek to provide opportunities for people to serve with local organizations, ministries, and to be a part of investing in the next generation.

WHAT HAPPENS TO PARENTS DAY OUT (PDO)?

PDO will continue to thrive and serve the Nolensville community as it has for years. Rolling Hills has a long history with a Learning Center at our Franklin Campus and has a strong passion for this ministry. There is currently interim PDO leadership, and we will be hiring a permanent PDO director soon. During the facility preparation process, any changes to the kids' ministry space will not affect the number of rooms and spaces needed to continue the PDO and current programming. In the weeks to come we will be loading new PDO information onto the website, but in the meantime, below are the forms and parent handbooks you may need and for information about the PDO please call 615.776.5057.

ARE THE BELIEFS AND THEOLOGY OF THE TWO CHURCHES COMPATIBLE? WILL DENOMINATIONS CHANGE?

Our beliefs and theology are a great match. Both churches are members of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and Nashville Baptist Association (NBA) and we will continue to celebrate that membership and a significant similarity in theology, strategy, and style.

HOW WILL THE BUDGET AND FINANCES BE MANAGED?

We will be combining the two budgets and designated funds of the two churches into one budget. Leadership will work to faithfully steward all current assets and future budgets. Rolling Hills is also an accredited ECFA (Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability) church.
