Summary

Faithfulness in all seasons is much easier said than done. In times of plenty, or “problem free” living, most people will not struggle to be faithful. However, in the midst of battles, adversities, and challenges, faithfulness becomes much more difficult! From the onset of their delivery from captivity in Egypt, the Israelites had a very difficult time remaining faithful to God. Even in the midst of God performing some incredible miracles and providing over and abundantly all they could ever need, their minds, eyes, and hearts were prone to wander. Today, in the year 2020, God is giving us an opportunity to choose to be faithful! To be about His work, we have to be willing to trust Him to provide, to trust Him for the opportunities, and to be faithful to walk in obedience to His plans. Commit today to trust Him and to use all of your gifts, talents, and resources to “Finish Strong” the work He has put in front of you!

I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then. Joshua 14:11

Being aware of who God is, is not the same as wholeheartedly following Him.
I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land. And I brought him back a report according to my convictions, but my fellow Israelites who went up with me made the hearts of the people melt in fear. I, however, followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly. Joshua 14:7-8

God’s promises never change. We change!
So on that day Moses swore to me, “The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.” Joshua 14:9

Do not lose sight in the uncertainty of today, that God has already gone before you to show you the way
In spite of this, you did not trust in the Lord your God, who went ahead of you on your journey, in fire by night and in a cloud by day, to search out places for you to camp and to show you the way you should go. Deuteronomy 1:32-33

When you struggle to trust God’s faithfulness, the obstacles will always take up more real estate in your life than God intended them to.
But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.” Numbers 13:31-32

Your work is never done–Finish Strong!

Now then, just as the Lord promised, he has kept me alive for forty-five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved about in the wilderness. So here I am today, eighty-five years old! I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then. Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. Joshua 14:10-12a
