Sermon Info
Summary
The Pharisees were the keepers of the law, meaning they knew the Old Testament inside and out. As a result, they had the foreknowledge to be able to identify Jesus as the Messiah. However, they were so caught up in “helping” people follow the Torah by creating more laws, that they created barriers (or hedges) that blocked people from getting closer to God. Today we all have an inner Pharisee that wants to judge those around us, what hedges are we building that makes it difficult for people to see Jesus?
