Jesus’ Greatest Stories // The Parable of the Talents

In Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus shares a story, often called the Parable of the Talents, about a master who entrusts servants resources to manage while he's away. This parable teaches us about using our gifts and resources wisely for His Kingdom. It shows that God expects us to make the most of what we've been given and to invest our time, talents, and resources in ways that honor Him and benefit others. We are not accountable to our fruitfulness but by our faithfulness to Him.
Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. Matthew 25:14

Every penny that has passed through your hands was placed there by God’s hand.
Let’s find accountability before we are held accountable.

- What story is my calendar telling?
- Where in my life am I serving others?
- Is fear a part of my decision-making process?
- Are my resources focused on recreation or re-creation?
- Do I see my resources as something God has entrusted to me?
Prayer
Lord, guide my heart and mind to see what you have entrusted to me. May I hold everything with an open hand. Grant me a spirit that is ready and open to build your Kingdom. Let my time be focused on serving others, let my skills be used to encourage others, and let my finances be allocated to help others. For your glory and your Kingdom, Amen.
