Missions
Missions is an essential part of who we are at Rolling Hills. Once we become disciples, God wants us to make disciples. God has called us all to reach out to those around us with the Good News of Jesus Christ and care for those in need. There are people on our street, in our city, in our country, and all over the world who need to hear the Gospel and see it lived out. We all have circles of influence in which God has intentionally placed us where we can make an impact for the Kingdom of God.
Local Missions
Do Good Local is our local missions initiative to mobilize our people for the good of the community in which God has placed us. We want to serve the cities in which we live and worship. We have three God-sized goals we have been led to focus all our local missions efforts towards. All of our local missions partners fall under one of these three avenues of focus.
- Feed the Hungry: What would it take to end hunger in our cities? We are resolved to strategically focus our financial and human capital to address the food insecurity needs of our community.
- Restore the Homeless: What would it take to end homelessness and restore dignity to ALL? We are resolved to strategically focus our financial and human capital to care for the homeless in our community.
- Invest in Education: We believe that investing in education is one of the best ways to love and care for our community. We are resolved to strategically focus our financial and human capital to invest in local schools, non-profits, and other educational institutions.
Though Do Good Local happens all year long, in the summer we challenge our church to dedicate their time and resources to making a difference in our community through the Do Good Local Summer Challenge. One of our largest areas of focus for Do Good Local is our Rolling Hills Community Center located at our Nashville South Campus. In the end, we want to find as many ways as we can to do good locally for His glory!
International Missions
International Missions
Justice & Mercy International (JMI) is a nonprofit established by RHCC in 2008 to facilitate missions in cultures antagonistic to the Gospel. All of our missions trips run through JMI. The heartbeat of JMI is a long-term and meaningful commitment to the people we serve. Through JMI, Rolling Hills already has local NGOs established and fully staffed in Moldova and Brazil.
