Meet Pastor Roberto
Roberto Pagan Jr. is a down-to-earth leader with a heart for both ministry and community. As the Nashville South Campus Pastor and Community Center Director at Rolling Hills Community Church, he blends his love for people and his faith to serve in meaningful ways. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Roberto brings over ten years of experience in ministry and youth work, along with leadership roles in organizations like the National Youth Advocate Program and Ohio Medical.
With a degree in Christian Ministry from Judson University, Roberto has always been passionate about connecting with people and empowering the next generation. He’s served in various roles, from mentoring young people to leading children’s ministry, always focusing on building genuine relationships and creating engaging experiences that make a difference.
Outside of church, Roberto enjoys spending time with his wife, Melanie, and exploring Nashville as they build their family. A big sports fan, he’s especially into football, baseball and softball and loves catching a game or playing when he gets the chance. Known for his approachable style and relational focus, Roberto’s heart for God and his community drives everything he does, whether it’s leading a service, organizing an event, or just being there for someone who needs support.
The Gospel of Matthew // Jesus Tempted
In Matthew 4:1-11, we see that temptation is ultimately an invitation to shift our trust, worship, and allegiance away from God, whether through the pursuit of pleasure, pride, or power. Jesus, fully God and fully human, faced each temptation and defeated it not with willpower, but with the truth of God’s Word. His example reminds us that a hard place is not necessarily the wrong place, and that faith trusts God without demanding proof or seizing control. Ultimately, Jesus didn’t just model how to resist temptation, He lived the perfect life we couldn’t, becoming the sacrifice we needed.
