FOR AN IN-PERSON SERVICE

For the past several Sundays since going completely online, we've been praying, watching, and waiting for the right time to return to safely return to in-person worship services at our campus. Our ministry teams will still be facilitating ways to connect from your homes, but for those who are ready to join us in-person, we can't wait to see you soon! Visit our Reopening page to find out all the details on how we're phasing our reopenings, and what to expect!

Life On Purpose

Part 3: BrotherhoodPart 3: Brotherhood - NAC

Nic Allen

June 28, 2020

How are you growing as a disciple? Is it through daily practices and spiritual disciplines? Careful study and biblical application? A disciple is an always-growing follower of Jesus Christ. Who are you growing with as a disciple? Who is mentoring you? Who are you growing alongside? Into whose life are you investing yours? Discipleship is always a “we” and never just a “me” endeavor. That’s why the brotherhood in Acts was so vital. Finally, what difference does your growth make? Growing in Jesus will always lead to serving others for Jesus. If your spiritual growth isn’t leading to personal sacrifice for the sake of others, it’s safe to say that the growth isn’t spiritual.

Stories

Be Encouraged
Don & Cynthia's Story

Many years ago, Don, Cynthia, and their 8-week old son headed to Belgium with a call to be missionaries there. In their time overseas, Don and Cynthia played a role in planting a church there, teaching English as a second language, and building relationships with those in their community. The message of Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 to "encourage one another and build each other up" is the purpose by which they live their lives. Their heart for service and for encouragement of others is represented both in their time as missionaries and in how they build relationships with those in their community now. They are a real-life example of how purposefully living on mission can have an eternal impact on the people in our lives. It’s God’s call for us, and it should be a part of every person’s faith journey.  Listen to Don and Cynthia’s story here.

Racial Reconciliation & The Church's Role

“We have to listen, we have to speak out, we have to love.” One of our very own worship leaders, George Mhondera, sat down with Pastor Jeff to give us a chance to hear about his personal experience with racism, injustice, and the ways we, as the church, must step up.
