Masterclass: Romans 15

July 30, 2023

We have arrived at the conclusion of our Masterclass series on the book of Romans. What an incredible series it has been, as we have been diving deep into this powerful book of the Bible and seeing God’s righteousness and reconciliation for us today. Our God is a God of love, and His redemption extends to each of us through the gift of His Son, Jesus. Through Jesus, God draws us to Himself and reveals how we, as Christ-followers, should live. Romans establishes us in sound doctrine and in the amazing goodness of our great God. I pray Romans will bring revival in our hearts, our families, and our world today.

Every great revival has come out of Romans. About every 50 years, the world has seen one. Hope in today that we are about due for a great revival! God is using Paul’s letters to show us his ultimate HOPE, giving us examples and encouragement to glorify God for his Mercy.

God’s will is to build his church (Romans 15:5-6). Jesus loves his church, and WE love his church. Paul shares with us many people he loved. Eight of his twenty-six acknowledgments of honor were women in Christ.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the holy spirit (Romans 15:13).

Paul needed a Godly community around him. The obedience he walked, and faith he held even while on house arrest in Rome for two years, on to Spain, and then again in prison in Rome. He held gratitude to the church (Romans 16:18).

From starting as young Christians, followers of Christ, sisters and brothers, God’s desire for us is to mature to Mothers and Fathers in Christ. Jeff encourages us to allow Paul’s letter to establish us, first in God’s right and wrong, in his sound doctrine. Secondly, he encourages us to be established in God’s love for us. (Romans 16:25)

For all reading this, May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 15:5-6). May you leave here changed in light and glory and have it overflow into your family, your work, your neighbors, into the areas of your life needing a revival. We pray for Godly communities that wrap around each other within the church, and for that love to be planted as seeds of encouragement to one another. We pray for honor to flow. We pray for light to show in areas of darkness. Together, may it be a witness of the work of the kingdom of God on earth as we intentionally take time to consider those within the church, allow our energy to be multiplied by a strength only given by the holy spirit, and watch as love is poured out in the church – a love like Jesus’ love for the church.
