Things we get distracted by are rarely as important as what we get distracted from.

If we are going to have spiritual traction in 2020, we have to learn to deal with distraction

Jesus doesn't want us to be doing things at the expense of being with Him.

She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what He said. Luke 10:39

Because Jesus knows the things that can distract us can also enslave us.

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Luke 10:41-42

Your Heavenly Father desires a relationship that is not casual.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10

When we are with Him, we want to be like Him.

What do we do when we are like Him?

  • Spend MORE time with the Father.
But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. Luke 5:16
  • Lead with Love
We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
  • Grow with a Faith Community
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

So we make it our goal to please Him… 2 Corinthians 5:9
