Content

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” Matthew 28:5-6a

Jesus being alive means:

1. God wants to have a relationship with you.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

  • Easter is not for someone else, but for you.
  • God sent His Son so that you can have a relationship with Him.
  • It’s not about religion, but a relationship with God.
  • You can’t save yourself, so God sent His Son to save you.

2. God has a great plan for your life.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

  • There is no one in the world exactly like you.
  • God is not finished with you.
  • There is still breath in your lungs for a reason and a purpose.
  • Easter means your best days are still ahead.

3. Through Jesus, your eternity is secure.
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are. 1 John 3:1

  • Through Jesus, you become a child of God.
  • You no longer have to live in fear, but in faith, because you are a part of God’s family.
  • You are God’s child forever.

Easter is not just a celebration of Jesus coming alive, but of you coming alive as well!
