Summary

We all face challenges in life. Everyone is fighting a battle. When challenges come, we can choose to fight on our own, or we can pray and invite God into the battle. There is power in prayer. God answers every prayer we pray. Many times we are scared to pray because we don’t know how God will answer. But, as we grow in our relationships with God, we learn to love Him enough to trust Him with the answer. Will you put your trust in God today? Pray bold prayers and then watch God do what only He can do. Our God is able.

God is Able  “who is able”

Our prayer for everyone is that memorizing Ephesians 3:20-21 as a church and having it live in our hearts and our minds will bring us unity across all campuses.

Let’s focus on the story of Joshua 10:1-2. We are in a spiritual battle, and we can not let the enemy get a foothold in our minds, our marriages, or our lives. When things spiral, that is the enemy!

FEAR IS FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING TO BE REAL

Let us practice trusting God in our battles – like Joshua! He knew that God had promised His people the Promised Land. Once all of the unbelievers had died off (everyone 20 years of age and older), Joshua grew up seeing the blessing Moses was to his people.

Now it was Joshua’s time to be the blessing to the people and deliver them to the Promised Land. His faith was strong, and he trusted God in his battle. He had a mighty confidence that had all the kings on the run. Joshua had the courage to fight all the kings at once, and he knew if he and his men kept pressing on, they would win now. They would have the ability to save the people from multiple battles!

His bold prayer was to have the sun stand still for a whole day longer so that they could finish fighting them now! In history, there is just one day like this, where the calendar is missing a day because a day had been extended. It’s seen in multiple calendars. The amount of faith Joshua and his people had was incredible, and they received a blessing! With the hard work and courage those men showed, God blessed them, physically and spiritually. A blessing was bestowed upon them and to all His people.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12

God will always answer your prayers, with yes, no, or wait. He is for our good, and spiritual maturity comes from loving Him more than His blessings – loving His protection and provision. The ultimate victory is in God alone. He will always follow through on his promises.

God has promised us He will never leave us alone, He will never forsake us, and we will forever be His.

On a scale of good, better, and best, how would you rate yourself in your willingness to engage in what God has for you in your life today? Is there an obstacle in your way? Is it presented to you physically or maybe a spiritual mindset? With where you are at in life right now, what provision from God would help you be a blessing to yourself, to your church, to your neighbor, and to the community around you?

Pray for courage for bold and full prayers to God. Pray for confidence, faith, and peace that surpasses understanding. Pray for courage to put into action and God’s provision to provide you with a clear mind and heart.
