Which soil is your heart? Jesus said there are four types of soil, so every one of us today will fall into one of these four categories: hard path, rocky, thorny or fruitful. Have you ever personally accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If not, then receive the Word of God today and experience the joy of growing in Jesus. If you are a Christian, then grow deep roots and don’t get distracted by the things of this world. This is your time to bear fruit. This is our time together to impact those around us and the next generation for the glory of our God. As a church family, let’s commit to praying for 40 days about how God can use each of us to bear more fruit for Jesus.

Jesus’ Parable of the Sower contains three essential parts:

Jesus as the Sower.
The seed in the Word of God.
The soil is the human heart.

In the parable, there are four types of soil:

The hard path – the evil one snatches up the seed
The rocky soil – shallow; no roots
The thorny soil – the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it out
The fertile soil – grows spiritually and produces a crop

Each of us has heard the Word of God, so how do you respond?

What soil is your heart?
What seeds of the Gospel are you sowing?

As a church, we are called to live out Jesus’ teaching in this parable.

We grow spiritually deeper together in our faith, and we sow seeds of the Gospel.
The more seed we sow, the more harvest we see for God’s glory.
The greatest impact is with our hearts today and with the next generation.

Because of this call of Jesus, today we are launching a new church wide initiative called “For The Kids”

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
