For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. Colossians 2:12-13 (NLT)
On April 24, 2022, Hadley Kirk was baptized by her mother, Meredith, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Hadley has asked Jesus for the forgiveness of her sins and that He will live in her heart for all her days. She loves Jesus and knows Jesus loves her. As Meredith reminds us, we are shown time and time again throughout the Bible that community is important in our walk with Christ. Hadley’s decision to proclaim her love of Jesus before a church body of family and friends reflects her intention to pursue God with accountability and fellowship. Her baptism gives glory to God and provides witness to His people. Congratulations, Hadley!
