ADVENT DEVOTIONAL

NOW – DECEMBER 25
This Advent season, we are placing a pause on our normal reading of the Daily Step and studying various passages in Scripture leading up to Christmas. Our staff has provided this tool that you might read with us through each of these passages every day and share your thoughts on the passage. We hope you find these devotionals helpful and edifying in your personal reading time and that they may inspire you to dive deeper into God’s Word. Follow along with our daily Advent Scripture reading and devotionals on our app or website.

FAMILY ADVENT DEVOTIONAL

NOW – DECEMBER 25
Christmas is an exciting time where families can see how God has given us peace, joy, hope, and love! Each week’s devotion will explore one of these themes as you open the Bible as a family and read a part of the Christmas story. After you read the story, we have included discussion questions to help get the conversation started and connect this story from Scripture to your kids’ lives. Follow along with our daily Advent family devotional below.

FAQS + WHAT TO EXPECT

 Is there parking available?
There is plenty of parking available at all our campuses. We also have designated parking for families with young children and children with special needs.

Is there childcare offered during the Christmas Eve Services?
Scared to give your child a candle? We understand! At all of our campuses (outside of Haywood Hills, which only has one service this Christmas), we are providing childcare for birth-3 years. We will also have a children’s worship guide available that will have different quiet activities that children can enjoy during the service.

What should I expect the Christmas Eve services to be like?
We will have something for everyone with traditional Christmas songs and Biblical teaching. We’ll end the service by singing Silent Night as candlelight spreads throughout the room. If you are a first-time guest, welcome! We are so honored that you chose to spend your Christmas Eve with us. To show our gratitude, we have a free gift for you at our Connection Center!

Can I serve during one of the services?
Yes, we would love for you to serve alongside us! We need volunteers to serve on the following teams during each service: parking, greeting, ushers, coffee team, preschool childcare, and online hosts. If you would like more information about these serving opportunities, please visit our serving page. If you're ready to volunteer for a Christmas Eve Service, please visit the link below.

SERVE THIS CHRISTMAS

Should I dress up?
If you want, sure! But we encourage everyone to dress as they want. The dress is typically casual at Rolling Hills.

Do you have services on New Year's Eve?
On New Year's Eve, in place of our worship services, we will host a special online-only experience at 8, 9:30, and 11am.

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
- Isaiah 9:6-7
