Summary
Our God is able to do miracles. God works through the power of His Holy Spirit to transform lives for His glory. The Holy Spirit indwells every Christ-follower. God is constantly working in us and through us. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are conformed to the image of Jesus, and we are used to impact others. As Christians, we must learn to live by the Spirit. God is always speaking and working – the question is: are we listening and obeying? God is able.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us... Ephesians 3:20-21
1. The Holy Spirit indwells every Christian.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit… Acts 2:4
- God’s presence dwelt in the Tabernacle, the Temple, Jesus, and now in every believer.
- Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
- It is not about “your” power, but God’s power at work within you.
- The Spirit is the evidence you are a Christian.
- The fruit reflects the root.
- Now the One who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 2 Corinthians 5:5
2. The role of the Holy Spirit in your life.
God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses to it. Exalted to the right hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. Acts 2:32-33
In this passage, we see the four roles of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christ-follower.
- Counsel
- Comfort
- Convict
- Compel
3. The Holy Spirit changes lives.
Those who accepted His message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. Acts 2:41
- God’s Spirit is still changing hearts and lives today.
- You can quench the Spirit.
- Learn to live by the Spirit.
- The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in you.
