Summary

This morning we are beginning a brand new series, “God is Able.” Our theme verses here at Rolling Hills are Ephesians 3:20-21, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in all generations forever and ever. Amen!” Whatever you are facing in your life today, know that your God is greater. Focus on Him today and live your life for Him. God is with you and for you. Open your eyes and your heart to Him today.

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

STARTING WITH GOD

Pastor Jeff’s encouragement to memorize these verses is more than just memorizing. This series is designed to observe these lines in depth, encouraging us to apply this in our life as we take these next few weeks to memorize the two verses.

Walking through the story of an Aram King, his army, Elisha, and his servant in 2 Kings 6:8-23, Jeff prayed for us all as Elisha prayed for his servant. For eyes to see the spiritual battle, and how more than enough God is. His omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnipresent (all-present) self is with us.

“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 2 Kings 6:16

GOD IS FOR YOU

“And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:17

Look what God can do! God transcends this world. What a story – God is able! God loves you and is for you. “What comes into our minds when we think of God is the most important thing about us.” (AW Tozer) Life is not about success, but obedience.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Just like Elisha, pray!

In the name of Jesus, our prayer for you is that whatever you are holding on to, whatever battle physical and or spiritual around you, today your hands turn over in prayer. Physically turn your hands over to dump these out of your hands. Then lift your hands up to God in thanksgiving and praise. Our God is bigger than any army around you, any trial. We pray that His peace flows to you, protecting your heart and your mind. We pray the rest of your life from today, is the best of your life!
